Beer battered fish and chips
It’s FRIIIIIIDAAAAY! You know it my friends. Let’s start the weekend with a beautiful, crispy beer battered fish and chips. I know so many people that go for take out on Friday evenings and one of the most popular picks are fish and chips. I know it’s dead easy to jump in the car and head up the road to your favourite fish shop, but why not try this recipe and have a go at making your own fish with chips at home. The batter is very simple and the results are light, crispy fishand satisfied tummies!
I made a sumac salt to season the chips with, but you can use your regular favourite seasoning or just play around and add a few freshly chopped herbs to your regular table salt to spice things up a bit. And while you’re waiting for the batter to rest in the fridge, make a fresh aioli to go with the fish. Aioli is a French garlic mayonnaise which is absolutely incomparable to regular store bought mayonnaise. I know, I’m probably pushing it – you’ve already skipped on getting take out and now I’m asking you to make your own mayonnaise! Just try it…it’s really creamy and delicious.
Have a good weekend and cook with happiness. Always!
