Bread and butter pudding
Bread pudding is another great dish you can do so many things with. I have honestly never prepared it using regular stale bread. I love using brioche, croissants, cinnamon buns or hot cross buns. It’s also really nice using fruit loaves like banana bread, cherry and coconut loaf or even ginger loaf.
A common mistake, in my opinion, that people make when preparing bread pudding, is that they use milk and not cream. Why bother with milk? Honestly. Go all out and do it the proper way. The right way. The only way.
I baked a French spice bread a while ago and I kept a piece in the freezer. Well, I had the perfect dish in mind when I place that piece of bread in the freezer… I spread the slices with lemon marmalade, and made a thick and creamy egg custard to bake it in.
