The Grande Roche Hotel in Paarl hosts a social event evening that has become so popular that it is now seen as a signature event for them. The Bubbles and Braai events bring together people to celebrate two of South Africa’s most proud heritages, namely the unmistakable braai and the world award winning Methode Cap Classique (MCC). An unlikely pairing you’d think, but Michelin trained chef Roland Gorgosilich cooks up the most amazing dishes – all over hot coals – that are paired to perfection with MCC wines from the area.
Top estates to be on the look-out for are Kumkani, Bon Courage and Rhebokskloof with their award winning Chardonnay MCC. On the menu side guests can look forward to items like seafood, steak, ribs and much more and everything is prepared on the braai.
This is the perfect South African event – a good, hearty braai to make everyone feel right at home with a touch of elegance brought on by the bubbly. Bubbles and Braai combines two very different aspects of true South African modes of living to show guests that in it’s diversity, the two can be paired gloriously together!
The Grande Roche Hotel is the perfect setting for this event, with its historic old school presence, yet modern and contemporary innovation, guests feel comfortably at home and can enjoy all this old gal has to offer.
