I decided to try something different and used chicken mince instead of beef. The addition of crushed pineapple makes this bobotie extremely flavourful. I like to play around with traditional dishes and see what can be altered to develop new recipes.
Serve this bobotie with toasted coconut shavings, banana and some spicy chutney. Make a large dish of it then make toasted sandwiches the next day with the leftovers!
