Prawns are one of the easiest and also most delicious ingredients to add to cooked pasta for a delicious light meal. So many additional flavours can make the dish unforgettable.
One of my favourite “throw-together” meals is probably this simple prawn with chilli, garlic and lemon pasta. I really like to make use of fresh pasta and if I have time to make my own fresh pasta, I will make a batch, but if there’s no time, store bought fresh pasta will have to do. There’s some good quality fresh egg pastas available at supermarkets these days which can make life so much easier.
The secret to really good pasta dishes is good quality, fresh ingredients. Make use of a good quality olive oil, fresh garlic, chillies and fresh prawns. Flavours are enhanced by adding parsley and even a grating of Parmesan. If you’re not a fan of prawns, sliced ham or bacon can be used instead.
