Chocolate chip cookies
There’s something about chocolate chip cookies that simply stir up happiness. Memories of giant glasses of ice cold milk, a mountain of cookies on a white plate and cheery chewing all around the table. Chocolate in the corners of everyone’s mouths and milk moustaches mean thatthe cookies and milk experience was one ofsuccess.
Millions of recipes can be found on the internet for these cookies and most of them are pretty decent. The same ingredients will also feature in just about all the recipes too: sugar, egg, flour and chocolate chips. I recommend trying the recipes that make use of brown sugar, as the flavour of these cookies is unbeatable. I also like adding pecan nuts and even a pinch of cinnamon adds lovely flavour. A friend of mine likes to add coffee granules to the dough, which is also nice, but somehow adding too many other flavours make this classic “trip-to-happiness” cookie just slightly too sophisticated. Rather keep it simple and enjoy that home baked goodness the traditional way.
