Some days the craving for chocolate can be worse than others, right? I get those days often and today was a bad one! I wasn’t in the mood for just a chocolate bar, but rather a baked treat with the added bonus of chocolate all in one.
After a few minutes digging in the cupboards, fridge and freezer, I had half a roll of puff pastry and a giant bar of milk chocolate. The oven was on 200C in a flash and I was unrolling and re-rollingpastry with huge pieces of chocolate tucked in snugly. A quick brush with whisked egg and into the hot oven they went.
These pastries are probably the simplest thing in the world to make and they taste amazing. Crispy and flaky with warm melting chocolate, oozing out. I’ll definitely be making these as a weekend brunch treat soon.
