Crunchy apple and banana cake
Apple and banana cake / tart / dessert. I can’t really tell in which category this will fall, all I know, is it’s really tasty! The brown sugar brings all the ingredients together in like some kind of perfect harmony! The brazil nuts adds a very bold nutty flavour and lovely texture. I baked it in a 23 cm round tart tin, but I have also baked it in a 18 cm round cake tin. It works well both ways.
It’s fantastic served with really good quality vanilla ice cream and mascarpone is not too bad either. Chocolate sauce can also be serve with it if you want to make a dessert out of it.
This cake is really simple and its one of those things people will keep talking about for ages, because it’s different and so tasty.
