Date balls have always been one of my all time favourite treats. They’re awfully high in energy, so only one or two should be enjoyed at a time, but they make the perfect lunch box addition or a treat to pack for road trips.
I’ve had and used this specific date ball recipe for as long as I can remember. I’ve thought about adding a twist to the recipe for this post, but then decided I’d rather share the original first, then maybe later jazz it up a bit. It’s simply such an easy recipe that always works and tastes so good. It can also be prepared and pressed into a square cake tin then sliced into fingers, once set.
The date balls can be stored in the fridge or in an airtight container on the shelf. They last quite a while, but I promise you they won’t!
