This is an easy way to add intense flavour to a pizza base, without having to cook tomatoes down to a thick sauce. It’s for those times you need a quick pizza topping, because it’s been a long day and spending hours in the kitchen is simply out of the question!
For two small pizza bases, take about 30 ml tomato paste and mix it with 20 ml onion marmalade.
Spread it evenly over the pizza bases and now you can add any topping preferred.
I added a few slices of mozzarella with dried oregano. Bake the pizza’s at about 200C until your toppings are cooked. Serve the pizza with some fresh herbs and grinding of black pepper.
