Decorating a cheeseboard can sometimes be a bit of a head scratcher. I find anything with a little sweetness to it, works well with cheese. So adding things like caramelised nuts or fruit are always a good way to go.
Try it with cocktail tomatoes by caramelising half a cup of sugar with a splash of water. As soon as the sugar turns a golden colour, remove it from the heat and dip cocktail tomatoes with toothpicks all the way in the caramel to cover them. Set them on a sheet of greaseproof paper and allow to cool. Use these to garnish a cheeseboard or serve them as part of a snack platter.
