These are delicious tea time treats that are simple to make and a batch can be whipped up in a flash.
All you need is one roll of thawed puff pastry, 60 ml white sugar and 10 ml ground cinnamon. Unroll the puff pastry, brush it with a whisked eggand evenly spread the sugar and cinnamon over the entire piece of pastry. Use a rolling pin to press the sugar into the pastry.Roll it up from the long side then place it in the freezer for about 10 minutes to firm up. Then slice thin slices and place it on a greaseproof lined baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 200C until crisp and golden. Serve warm or keep in an airtight container for a few days. The pinwheels are delicious crushed over vanilla ice cream.
