A sharp pairing knife is essential when it comes to segmenting oranges. Orange segments can be used in desserts, salads or fruit juice drinks.
Top and tail the orange by slicing the two ends off of the orange.
Place the orange on a sliced side and using a pairing knife, slice the peel of the orange off taking care not to cut too much of the fruit off.
Once all the peel has been removed, hold the orange in your hand, and cut out the segments by slicing in between the segment membranes.
