Puff pastry with any kind of paste bakes really well into an afternoon or in-between snack. I made delicious lemon slices, filled with an almond paste and lemon marmalade. It’s a really easy recipe and the results are fantastic.
Remember when brushing the pastry with egg yolk, not to brush the edges as the pastry layers will stick and not rise during baking. Uncooked puff pastry can be frozen for up to 3 months and cooked puff pastry can be frozen for up to 6 months!
