One of the best places in Cape Town to enjoy the perfect cup of coffee (my very own personal opinion, and I am a bit of a coffee snob), you can learn to make perfect coffee too, at your office or in your own home! Mikhael Bou Rjeily, multi-award winning barista and owner of Mischu’s Coffee Showroom in Sea Point, has been training people for a few years now, and is more keen that ever to teach anyone interested in the art of making coffee through his Barista courses held at his showroom.
Bring your own coffee machine and accessories and learn how to use it to its full potential – and correctly! You will also learn the history of coffee and get a chance to use the professional commercial espresso machine. A fun and very informative experience.
In this more in depth course, you will learn the history of coffee, extract a consistent espresso shot, how to regulate the coffee grind, create a silky foam, pour, decorate and present cappuccinos and lattes, and keep all the equipment clean.
This course is more extensive, where you will learn the history as well as the process of the coffee bean from the farm to the end product that is served to customers. You will learn the precise art of making coffee from extracting consistent espresso shots, grinding, steaming the milk, pouring the best cappuccino, assembling different coffee beverages, latte art and how to keep all the equipment clean. In addition, there will be a 30 minute practical test similar to standard Barista Championships. So, once you are done with this course, you will be a coffee connoisseur.
So, whether you would like to merely make a great cup of coffee in your own home for yourself, family and friends, or if you would like to make better fantastic coffee at work, or even if you have your own coffee shop and need your staff to be properly trained, Mischu’s Coffee Workshop is the place to go.
