Pavlova has got to be one of the best and most prepared summer desserts of all time. It’s a very popular dessert in Australia and New Zealand and was created in honour of the Russian ballet dancer, Anna Pavlova. It is prepared with a meringue base which is dried in amedium oven so that the outside is crisp, but the inside stays light and soft. Don’t you think it’s so becoming that this dessert is associated with a ballet dancer -strong and resistantoutside, but light and delicate inside.
Pavlovas can be filled or serve with any of your favourite fruit. Kiwi, grapes, berries or even a mixture of different fruit. It can also be served with either cream or ice cream.I sometimes like to make a more deadly one by filling it with rich chocolate ice cream and topping it with ganache and chocolate malt balls. Decadent beyond comprehension!
