Here’s a quick and really easy way to prepare pork neck steaks. It’s probably something you’ve done at some point in preparing a quick supper or light lunch. I mean there’s nothing easier than to toss a few steaks of some sort into an oven proof dish, add chutney, chilli sauce or something similar and just pop it into the oven.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with preparing a dish like this, but we all have spices in the cupboard or herbs in the garden, so remember to add something extra the next time you make a quick “throw into the oven dish” like this. I used quite a spicy sweet chilli sauce and added fresh ginger and star anise. The flavour was amazing and the effort was hardly worth mentioning.
