Apple and raisin puff pastry rolls
Applesare so versatile to use in desserts or pastry dishes. It melts and marries with so many other ingredients and flavours – it is often the first ingredient I place on the chopping board when I start experimenting with recipes and it’s just about always a winner.
This pastry roll is a quick and awfully easy bake to assemble and then just allow the oven to do the rest. If you don’t like raisins, leave them out or add cranberries instead. Flaked almonds or broken pecan nuts will be great flavour and texture additions. Ice cream or whipped cream are both really nice accompaniments for this pastry roll and vanilla custard too.
