Pear and frangipane tart
So, I ‘ve been known to ramble a bit about things, especially food or ingredients, that I really like. Yes, yes, I rambled about frangipane, I know, but if you haven’t made it or tried it, then you just won’t understand it.
Frangipane, which is also known as almond cream, pairs beautifully with pear, so this pear tart is absolutely divine. I usually glaze it with a little melted apricot jam, but it’s not essential to do this. The tart is perfect as it is – any time of the day and it doesn’t need any frills to help it along. YOU MUST BAKE THIS TART. You won’t sorry!
